About Tenor d’Arioso

The future has a past
Tenor d'Arioso is an expressive and very likeable young stallion, who clearly embodies his life's calling as a show jumper. With his impressive jumping ability with an almost perfected overview, flexibility and bascule Tenor d'Arioso demonstrates the precious parental genetic heritage, which, in addition, is favoured by his rideability. The committee of judges at the loose jumping championship in France shared that view, therefore Tenos d'Arioso ended as superior winner of the overall ranking loose jumping / conformation. This was followed by the Southern German and Cheval Suisse stallion selection. In his first sports season, he was qualified for the finals of the 4-year-old jumping horses in Fontainebleau. There again, he showed his ability and will to perform with clear rounds in the qualification and the final.

Sire : Elite sire Arioso du Theillet competed with great international success under Christina Liebherr (SUI) and Susanne Behring (GER). His offspring are highly successful in show jumping up to advanced (S) level, first and foremost Idéo du Thot, winner of the Wold Cup Finals 2007 under Beat Mändli (SUI), now international successfully ridden by young Martin Fuchs (SUI). Arioso's sire Persan II by Grand Veneur produced in his short breeding career many successful sports horses. Damsire Starter is the son of the thoroughbred Rantzau xx, top sire for all categories and best thoroughbred that ever was used in the French warmblood breed. Rantzau xx as well is sire of the legendary Cor de la Bryère. Arioso's dam also produced the stallions Chorus du Theillet and Danaos di Theillet. He carries the important performance blood of I Love You, Almé, Ibrahim as well as Night and Day xx. The 3rd dam Tanagra is dam of the greatest influent on French breeding, Jalisco B.

Dam: Special attention deserves the mare line (Holstein line 2269). Halina G was an internationally successful jumping horse herself. She won at the CHIO Aachen under double Olympic winner Jeroen Dubbeldam (NL). For a long time, her sire Capitol I has had a reputation as exceptional sire in Holstein. Through him, the Cottage Son xx-line became one of the most influental in the Holstein breed at the beginning of the 21st century. To his offspring he passed on outstanding jumping potential, scope and great courage. This was evidently proven at the Olympics in Athens, because there over 10% were descendants of Capitol I and his sons. With Lagano and Locarno on her dam's side, Halina G carries twice the blood of the influential improver Ladykiller xx. Lagano was one of the most important breeding stallions in Denmark and produced many highly successful sports horses. His half sister Sevada is dam of Olympic winner Classic Touch. Halina G's dam Zarah III had five more descendants that were successful in show jumping up to advanced (S) level.
